Yesterday, El Esposo went to the Guatemalan bakery and bought me some Guatemalan molletes. I decided to share them with you so that you could see the difference between a Guatemalan mollete (which is a type of sweet bread, similar to Mexican conchas without topping) and a Mexican mollete (which is almost the same as a Guatemalan frances, here). These were delicious with our coffee this morning.
These little cookies are the reason why the oven was set at 350 yesterday morning - I found these on Pinterest. They are listed as breakfast cookies. I repinned them from someone else, yet when I clicked through to find out the original source, it merely says "user" and gives me a larger photo. So, I can't find the primary source. But here's the recipe:
Mix 2-3 ripe bananas, 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce, 1.5 cups of oats, a handful of Craisins, and some cinnamon together. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and cook for 35 minutes at 350.
Simple like that! If you know where that recipe originates, by all means let me know so I can give proper credit here and on Pinterest.
Have a great weekend!

Both look so good!
I made the Hilachas Guatemaltecas. Delicious! My son loved it so much. I wrote a post about it for tomorrow.
