A friend told me that rather than having a New Year's Resolution, she has a theme. As in 2013 will be the year of... kind of thing. So jumping on this bandwagon I decided that my theme this year would be focus. Rather than attempting any one or more specific goals I would just attempt to stay focused on what I was trying to get accomplished thereby, hopefully, actually being productive. Now we're at the end of February and I can safely say...
...ooh what's that shiny thing...
...yeah, not so great. I came into the year in a bit of a funk and didn't catch on to that fact for awhile. What this lead to was a lot of sitting around, lost in thought, not getting much of anything done. When, oh dear god, is there a lot I needed to start getting done. Once you name it though things get better. As I realized I was adrift I started pulling myself into shore a bit. The last few weeks have proven to be much more productive. I have to actually give some kudos to Susan for it too. I decided to try her hour thing and lo and behold you can actually get a ton of shit done in an hour. Who knew?
Its baby steps to all I need to get done in the next few months but at least its steps.
I also knit something and finished it. Here is what I call my celery monster:
He's for the 600 Monsters Strong project. He is named Celery for his colorway. The pattern is Adorkable which is so obscenely easy that its embarrassing that he took me as long as he did, but he's done and will be wending his way to the collection in tomorrow's mail.
Hopefully I can apply some of that focus on the hat I'm making now since it was supposed to be a Christmas present.

He is adorkable!!! And, oh, man, the focus thing has been getting me something fierce lately. In fact, that's what I was going to post about today, lol! Damn, we really are twins.
