I'm a Mexican food novice, but a friend recently recommended Rick Bayless's books. I can see that she didn't steer me wrong; any cuisine that incorporates chocolate in so many ways sounds great. I'm sorry you won't be partaking of anything on your list. Whole 30's exhaustive list of what you can't eat sounds a bit terrifying. I hope your energy returns soon!


It gets better with the Whole30 and, honestly, though the list of don'ts is perhaps a bit large, I've rarely felt deprived. I focus on making the most of what I can have -- good recipes and FLAVOR, FLAVOR, FLAVOR!
